MINOR PROCEDURES

You are required to see your doctor for assessment prior to booking this type of appointment. Booking a procedure requires a 30 minute to an hour appointment with both the Doctor and the nurse.

Skin lesions are sent to pathology for testing and may take up to a week for the results. All procedures performed at Wakefield Gardens incur a fee. The usual practice is to return for your results and stich removal and payment will be required on that day.

Suturing of cuts ad lacerations and the treatment of fractures is usually an emergency procedure. It is best to phone ahead to let us know if you have had an accident and need to see a doctor. We may have you speak to our nurse who is trained to assess the situation and decide the best course of action. In some cases, you may be advised to go straight to the emergency department.

If the incident becomes a workers compensation claim the patient will be responsible for the payment of all accounts.
